About Pascal
Based in Portland, OR, Pascal is a dramatic baritone classically trained in the Melocchi method. His strong low notes initially led him to be misclassified as a bass, but discerning listeners advised him to retrain as a baritone (à la Bastianini). After testing the waters with Papageno in Die Zauberflöte and Carmen’s Escamillo (both in 2023), he decided to take some time off to strengthen his high notes and study Verdi and verismo roles. He is now open for engagements.
Before he started singing, Pascal studied jazz and classical trombone from the age of nine, later focusing on jazz. He has also dabbled in jazz composition, which you can listen to on his SoundCloud.
